After making the Strawberry Jam soap I was well my scent buds were craving something Cherry. It had to be Cherry not that fake smell that cherry can sometimes emit, I think it is the almond smell that they mix in it. Well I don’t like that bitter smell, it’s not my cup of tea.

So I started digging around in my scent stash and came across a good cherry base and then started adding to it and ended up with a really nice Cherry Pop or soft drink style smell that had sparkle. I then just had this brain wave to add chocolate to it and into my head popped a bar of Cherry Ripe. Now Cherry Ripe is not one of my totally to die for chocolates, I love Lindt Chocolate or Ferrero Rocher but these are different.

Well back to it I then went and searched my other stash of embeds and had enough soap Cherries and bits and bobs to do the job and off I went into creative soapy land.

It was storming with thunder and lightning while I was making it, I hoped the power would not go out during the day.

That night at around midnight the power went out and with no air conditioner on in the bedroom it was impossible to sleep the temperature was 27deg celcius (80.6 deg F) and no fan either, so what else to do. Go grab a torch and head on over to the workshop to check on the soap. I scrounged around and found some old candles from when I used to make them and lit quite a few to get enough light and then proceeded to cut the soap via candle light. Crazy fun.

Here is the finished product, it does look desert like and I had to come over in totally darkness and cut the soap I could not wait. Now in daylight here is the pic it is so much better.lol
