If you would like to stock our boutique handmade unique products in your retail store please do the following steps:
  1. Create an Account

    If you haven't done so already, please create an account. Please fill in all fields including your business name, address of your business and also the number of years in business. Provide us with as much information as possible as this saves time. Accounts without the appropriate information will be disregarded.
  2. Contact Us

    Drop us a note to inform us of your request for wholesale access, tell us about your retail store. Use the Contact Us facility at the bottom of the website, to let us know that you have registered and would like to be considered for a Wholesale account. We will then contact you within 48hours.
  3. Once your account is approved, then we will change your login status to have Wholesale Access on the website and also send you our terms an conditions for wholesale trading and a faxable order form and pricelist for your reference.
Please do not ring us asking for pricing unless we have your full business details as we do not give out wholesale pricing without this information. Please read the frequently asked questions below before calling us as this will save time.
 
 
Frequently Asked Questions:
  • I don't have a physical retail store, but I want to sell your product from home or on the internet. Will you supply us? Sorry but we only supply to high quality physical retail stores and it is very important how our products are portrayed to the consumer.
  • How do people find out about your brand? People seek us out, they find us through word of mouth or searching on the internet.
  • Do you attend trade fairs? No. We find that we have enough business without attending trade fairs. Retailers who want a point of difference compared to the main stream products on the market place find us and love stocking our exclusive unique products. It's all about being different and we love it.
  • Do you or will you sell to distributors within Australia? No, we prefer to distribute our product directly to the retailer, this ensures they are getting fresh product and also helps us build a better working relationship with our retailers and fulfil their specific needs. We prefer to offer a more personalised service, this way they are talking direct to the manufacturer, not the middle person.
  • Will you sell to distributors in countries outside of Australia? Please contact us with your proposal and as much information as possible.
  • Do you do private label? No
  • Can we have our brand on your product? No
  • Can you supply product without Platypus Dreams branding on it? No Please note: retailers found to be deliberately covering, removing our branding or not supplying our product with it's tag or ingredients list that is supplied with our products will be dismissed immediately and our legal department will be in contact with them.
  • Can you make soap for our shop or brand? No this is private label and we do not do it.
  • Will you supply products to another shop in the same street if we stock your product in our store? No, we will do our very best to ensure this does not happen.
As we are a small company and everything is handmade we only take on a limited number of wholesale accounts each quarter. We limit the numbers so that we can serve our existing clients better.
 
Please note: We are not taking on any new accounts until January 2009.
